Can I fit a 9.5" for front and a 10.5" for rear and which rims do you like better?
Right now I am debating between the
Axis Milanos http://www.axiswheels.com/milano.html and the Axis Hiros http://www.axiswheels.com/hiro.html At the start of my search for wheels I wanted a graphite or gunmetal finish. I found the milanos and really like the huge lip but then found the hiro and like the color of the wheel with the smaller lip. And the Hiros can go to 10.5" I cant really choose right now. Which do you like better? Also has anyone easily fit 9.5" in the front and 10.5" in the rear with out rubbing on anything. I also have a GC setup with AGX's that when I lower it I like to slam it as low as possible. Please give me opinions on which wheels you like more and any technical advice you can give. Thanks for your help. -Steve By the way I have a '96 |
They both look nice. I've seen few Hiros but haven't seen a Max w/ Milanos. I don't think you can run 10.5 on a 4th gen. Not 100% sure though.

both look nice but you dont got a RWD high performance car......

9.5s will fit, but Im not sure about the 10.5s...thats kinda pushing it..how about 8.5 front 9.5 rear
I like both of those rims. Axis makes good quality stuff at a reasonable price. Big lip, proper offsets for us too. If you wanna go staggered, I'd say go 8.5 front and 9.5 rear. I think that's your only option with those models anyways.
Both wheels look good, but I'm not a fan of rivets so I would choose Hiro. Smoother looks better IMO. Not sure about width, but I would agree with triple8sol if you want staggered.
I don't know why you want such wide wheels on the rear of an already understeering car in the first place.
And why give up the ability to rotate your tires to prolong their lifetime? I'm assuming you're looking at at least 18 or 19's. The tires get damn expensive at that size. Unless you've got money to burn.

you will defintiley be going thru more tires with a staggered setup, since you can no longer rotate the tires. whatever the widest you can go in the front is, make that the rear rim/tire size.
but like everyone else said, if you have money to burn, go for it. |
Thanks for all your input guys. Very helpful advice and stuff I have forgotten to think of, like tire rotation and what not. Ill prob end up going with 19x8.5"s all around so I can rotate at least from front to back. But still dont know what model to choose. Leaning towards hiros right now. Again thanks for the really helpful input.

both of those rims are nice, id go with the hiro, the first ones look more of a BMW style rim.
And i wouldnt go with anything wider than 9.5, anything bigger would be overdoing it. |
Now I think I'm going with the Milano's. I saw the Hiros on some cars and there is almost no lip. And I saw the Milano's on some cars and the lip looks huge and beautiful... So prob. the Milano's now.

So, the biggest width in the front that can fit with no rubbin issues is 8.5?
im curious to know what offsett you guys are running to fit 9.5's and has anyone ran 9.5's at all four corners???
bump what offsett for the 19x9.5 stop keeping secrets.
maybe around 45mm give or take a few
So if you got 19's (which I'll be gettin) what/how exactly do you space them? Sorta confused. Secondly, would 9.5 handle/look better than 8.5 but ride harsher?
How are we supposed to know when we have no idea what size tire you'll be running?
Why don't you tell me? I don't know what tire I'll be running. All I know is I want 19's. I don't want a 35 profile neither, so I'll prolly go 40 but I dont know the ranges I can use or is 245/35or40 the only ones I could use.
If you don't want a 40 or 35 profile tire you made a HUGE mistake by going with 19s. To have your speedo read correctly you'll need a 235/35, 245/30, 255/30, or 265/30. Then again if you bothered to look at the STICKY named TIRE CALCULATOR, you would've already know that, wouldn't you.
