6th Gen SE ownsers who don't like the noise or perf of stock RSAs
I did a bit of research on tirerack about what kinds of performance tires are good in wet and dry. And Being a Forumla 1 fan I was a bit biased to the Bridgestone Pole Position S-03's as they are basically the same tread as the intermediate F-1 tires. I couldn't be happier. After about 20 miles to scuff them in they are much quieter than the Goodyears ever thought of being. On I-85 north of Atlanta I now here almost only wind noise about 60MPH through 95MPH. Cornering is better too as I entered a right hand turn and kind of scared myself thinking I went too fast. But pulled through without going a bit wide.
On rough pavement there is still a fair amount of noise, but no where near what I was experiencing on my RSAs. And when you do light up the front tires (a bit harder now) the car doesn't bounce. Atleast not yet. I credit this to the fact that there are no tread studs. just 5 full circumfrence ridges with 4 having tracks for water. They also havn't made any squeeling noise either when spening or sliding. This part my bum some people out who liked beign able to make some noise. But not me.
