Alessio F1's
I'm picking up a set of 18x8 Alessio F1's this week, and am curious as to the size range of tires I can go with. I have read quite a few threads already, but I haven't been able to answer my question.
I'm assuming anything between 225-245 would be best? I'm not dropped right now, but I probably will be in a few months at most. Also, I'm looking at 40mm profile...should I go to 45? Will the ride quality improve that much? And lastly, I've been looking at the Nexen N3000's. They are Y-rated for speed, AA traction, A temperature, and 340 treadwear. I can get 225's for $350, or 235's for around $400. Is it worth it in your opinion?? Also, I've seen a few of you give pretty good reviews of the Kumho's. I've heard from some people locally though, that they were unimpressed by their durability. Several people who had them got bulges in the walls of the tires after several months. They claim it was not caused by potholes or curbs, but I dunno. Anyone else have those problems? |

Don't accuse people of not reading the stickies when you don't know that they haven't. I simply asked for a little bit of help from someone who knows their stuff. I wish people on here would quit acting high & mighty just because they know more than someone else. You could at least have worded it more along the lines of, "Those tires probably wouldn't be too good. Check the stickies and see if you will probably find the answer to your question." BTW, my 2 questions were quality of a specific tire, and fitment of a specific width. Where in those 4 stickies is this addressed? Isn't the whole point of having a message board, to provide a place where people can ask questions and get advice?? If you don't have an aswer to eithe rof my questions, then don't reply. It's not difficult.   |

Hey I have F1's but mine are 8.5" wide so I went with 245/40/18's, you may be stretching it a little going this size with 8", might be okay though, 235's for sure, as for tire choice if you're looking for all seasons Proxes4 are well worth the $$$ Blackcat and I did a direct comparsion with his Falken Ziex 512's and we both agreed the Proxes performed better and were much quieter, hope you like the F1's as much as I do!
