Will 35+ offset work for 20's?
I know that I will get a lot of negative feedback for getting 20's in the first place, but I wanted to know will the 35+ offset work with my 225/35/R20 profile tires on a 97 Maxima? I already have the rims so please no one tell me to get 19's...haha...Thanx guys
|
if you already have the rims try them on and see of anything touches
|
I was going to powdercoat the rims and get tires after i found out if they would rub or not...thats my problem...I got the wheels at an incredible deal so i couldn't pass it up but now i'm worried if i will get rub...can anyone else help me out...and SHAVEDMAX...your car ****s on just about every maxima...nice ride

you should be fine with 35 offset as long as you dont slam you car, with 35 offset you should have more clearance front the strut to.
also depends on the width of the rim to, hopefully it isnt 9" wide |
20's.... u shoulda got 19's man... what where you thinking!!! hahahah im joking... i got 19's and i wish i woulda got 18's now... just be careful with 20's..... dont wana waist perfectly good rims
|
they are 8.5 wide all around will that be ok? and what do you mean i don't want to waste a perfectly good rim??
|
i meant be careful with hitting any potholes or bumps.... ive known many people i that F'd up their rims on 19's by hitting a pot hole... so i can imagine how careful u gotta be with 20's... but good luck anyway and enjoy the dubs...

find out the width and offset of your curent rim and go there |
i have 20x8 +38 offset wheels with 225/35/20 on my 4th gen and have no rubbing issues whatsoever, but i am not lowered yet

the part you should worry about isn't hitting the inside wheel well, its hitting the edge of the wheel well, best bet would be to do a test fit like posted above or there is some web sites in the stickys that tell you the clearance you have. |
o and shaved max, you have the sickest drop setup i have even seen!
