18 350z wheels on 03 maxSE (Tires?)

ok, well i won some 350z wheels on Ebay for my maxima. I Initially wanted 6th gen maxima wheels but i kept losing auctions on them, and they seemed hard to get for me for some reason. Anyhow, what i have now comming is the 18x8 350z wheels. What i need to know, is with this 30mm offset they have what tire size can i go with without rubbing. I'm on maxspeeds/gr2 now and it is fine obviously with stock SE wheels. but how wide can i go. From what i've seen so far it's looking like 235/40/18. i really wanted 245/40/18 but it looks like thats not goign to pan out. unless someone else here knows for sure?

thanks for any comments.

also pics of these wheels on other maxima's would be appreciated so i can get an idea what they will look like =)

k, well after doing some research...it looks like 245/40/18 will rub because of the offset. 235/40/18 however is ok.

so i ordered some 235/40/yr18 bfg g-force kdw2's today...w00t!

such a dope tire:

tire rack has em for $126ea. i got my local Discount tire to match them with some haggling.

Yup, thats the size you needed assuming you are at stock ride height. I had the 350z rims 18x8 30mm offset all the way around, and since I decided to lower my car I switched to 04 SE 18s a while back. Looking at other maxes now, I cant imagine how I ever liked the look of my car, being that my wheel gap was the size of the grand canyon compared to what it is now. Not to mention the handling. But they will look good on your silver car.

Nice looking tires, I might have to try em for my next time around, my kumho ecsta mx's are okay but given the way I drive, plus the camber/toe not being perfect since the drop, theyre wearing down.

EDIT looked at your cardomain seeing your lowered...which Z rims did you get, because if they are the 30mm ones, the outside of your front tires might hit the fender.

well i did some homework and found that the stock size tires will rub. another guy has g35c rims, which are the same size/offset and is running 235/40/18's with no problems.

i have maxspeeds so im not slammed. i know i'd never be able to go with teins or anything. but i never intend to anyway.

Yup, teins here :)

GL then, good to hear people still do their homework before they buy

yeah that irishj44 guy has posted lots a pics and so have brettb and some dude named kevin. trust me i been up since 130am every night researching this. i hate spending money twice or buying the wrong thing. i originally wanted 18" max SE wheels too. they where harder to get though. and i liked the way the 30mm offset sat so flush with the max fenders. im excited to get my stillen lips painted and put on later this month. i just got my x-drills/pads/lines/fluid installed today im doing my stillen RSB tomorrow and pulley monday. One bad Max commin atcha in april! w00t!!!
