What you think of the NEW Yokohama AS430 tires?

I heard these are pretty much the best tires for the money. I live in Chicago so I definitely need all season. They do have one of the best ratings, even higher ratings than the more expensive tires.

I was quoted least $ from NTB. They want $103 per tire whereas discounttire and others want $115+ for them.

Is there perhaps a better tire out there for this kind of money? I really don't care about a $10 difference per tire...so if that's the case, please mention it here.

I know that the AS430 are the NEW version of the old Avid V4S Yokohama just in case you guys are wondering what they are.

I'm looking for performance obviously, but ALL season is a must.

Looking forward to your suggestions. Thanks

edit: I need tires in 16 x 225 x 55 O N L Y

i had 205/65-15 on my fronts and they performed pretty decently. it didnt last too long on my car tho. maybe about 19k miles. i cant really say anything cuz i had eagle GTII on my rears so the combo sucked a lot.

Don't know why you're looking for 225's. OE size on a 4th gen(most) is 215/55 r16. Regardless, the V4S is still avail. at tirerack.com for $90/ea. For $75/ea you can get Yokohama AVS dB S2. They are v-rated a/s. However, there snow traction reviews are FAR from great. Personally, I go with Yoko's 'cause they've been bad-a@@ since way back, and they're reasonably priced.

The old Yokohama V4s suck in the snow - I wouldn't recommend them if you want "true" all-season tire.

Do you have any pics (links) of the new model's tread pattern, I couldn't find them on Yokohama's website.
