$100 rebate on Turanza LS-v's

Wish they had this promo going on two months ago when I got mine. $100 off the price of four Bridgstone Turanza LS-V's. These are great tires in the stock 225/50/17 size. Go to Tire Rack for details.

Why do so many people say they lost mpg after going to this tire? I've read it time after time, many different cars from Toyota's to Honda's saying the same thing. What's up with this?

People drive faster with new tires. I've seen this lost MPG statement with various tires, and quite frankly I don't believe it. In some instances, people buy the tires heading into winter when fuel economy typically drops as a result of winter gas, colder weather and a greater proportion of shorter trips.

Perhaps someone can comment on increased rolling resistance with various tires. I've gone to tirerack and read reviews and 50 owners can praise a tire ad infinitum and then one comes along and complains about the same tire's adverse effect on his fuel economy. Nonsense I say!
