anyone with 22's

i am wondering if anyone on here with 22's can help me out. I want to know how bad the ride is and how bad do they rub? also what rim and tire size do you have? thanks fellas

NismoMax80 Sep 15, 2005 05:05 PM

okay, now pay attention where your thread went....

Tek-Niq Sep 15, 2005 05:06 PM

I don't rub with a sway bar and coils set to the right setting and compression...

with a stock suspension forget it, you will rub like a Mo-Fo on the rear..

stunta666 Sep 15, 2005 05:12 PM

its firm but soft in a way, cause it don't hit hard over bumps and its a nice ride on the highway...

its only kinda rough cause of the low profile tires too, not the suspension by itself.. I can't compare it to the stock tires since I haven't driven the car with the stock wheels since I installed the coils..

i cannot see how anyone can even refer to that set up as being kinda soft. my friend has an 04, with stock suspension, on 19's with a 35 series tire and the car ride is FAR from soft. everything little pothole and divet the car runs over sounds like a crash

over the years, .org has made a huge freaken deal out of slammed rides on 19's. ridiculous amount of people are expressin opinions based on hear say and have made a huge monster out of this. i have 19's on 35 series with ksprot coilovers and im lowered beyond 3.5". all i have to tell u is that the ride quality is 1/10000000000000000th of what people say it is. most of the people expressin their opinions about this have never even had a 5 min ride in a slammed ride on 19's. there is nothing harsh about it. on the highway, it rides like a dream, smooth as silk and better than stock. on bumpy roads, its a bit stiff. its nothing near that bouncy stock BS u get when u hit a bump. ur never floating around. u hit a bump, u bounce once and its over, ur driving rock solid once again. and since ksports offer full suspension travel, u barely feel anything HARSH. u feel the road surface on bad roads but its nothing near harsh. the ride can get bouncy and u feel urself jumpin up and down a little but its not really harsh, it does it in a smooth way. hard to explain....

all i have to say is that i love my ride quality on ksports and 19's. and im shocked that the ride is 100x better than what i was expecting it to be based on what i had heard.

if you know what to do and how to set them, they are not harsh at all man.. these coils are a very good ride..

your boy prob has the springs compressed to much, tell him to loosen them up abit..
