sweet rims. Nice color, too -- I like the bronze.

Pretty popular choice; I see lotsa Civics w/them nowadays. Affordable, compared to what I have. Get some locks on them.

They are a great choice. Lightweight and affordable since they're cast.

Nice rims. My friend has them in 17x9 and 17x10 for his 240 and they look great!

I just bought those rims as well, 17x8 bronze. Do you guys think that I will have any rubbing problems with an 89 max with the eibach 1.5" drop...I think that 225/45R17 are the right size tires...any input is appreciated...thanks

Mr.Duck Jan 21, 2006 11:03 PM

The fn01r is forged (stronger, lighter and more expensive) and the fn01r-c is cast.

I will be running 245/45/ZR 17 XL (extra load 99 rating), shaved to 4/32" for autocross and track use...

The tires I'm using (Hankook Ventus R-S2 Z212) suggest that an 8" rim is the "optimal size" for that size tire.

225's will look skinny on an 8" rim....my stock 17x7's came with 225 tires.

use the tire calculator in the stickies above....I don't know what the stock size/diameter for an '89 is....probably different from my '00

it all depends on tread width, some are wider thatn others. my falken 225s fit fine on 8 inch rims.
