'97 all seasons?
Its time for me to change my tires - Im currently running 3 different brands that are all kinda bald and slowly leaking air. Im looking for good handling in the dry and good winter traction (NE winters can suck). Mix of city and highway driving. I've done some reasearch but still unsure what to get. Toyo Proxes 4 seem nice but is that the best bet? Looking for 215/55/16 for under $100 a tire. Any ideas? Thanks.

Some more research: Bridgestone Potenza G 009 and Yokohama AVID V4S seem to be better than Kumho ECSTA ASX... Looks like the Bridgestones are better in the snow and the Yokohamas are better in the dry, but still rather decent in the white stuff.

I have been looking for new tires for my 98 SE too. needs to be able to handle wet/dry/snow and not be too expensive. I found the Dunlop Sport A2 Plus on tirerack... they are reasonably priced and have good reviews. I am probably going with them unless I find any info to persuade me otherwise.
