Will KYB's AGX shocks help?
First, Thanks Boone for your advice..
Just want to get other opinions as well... I have a 04 Max that I just added rims and tires.. However, I'm experiencing some rubbing. Everyone I ask is kinda surprised at this... I was assured these would fit with no issues.. No rubbing while normal driving, however, if I hit a bumb, then you can hear it... I have yet to carry passagers - I know it will only be worst. Any advice or thoughts would be appreciated... This is all I have on it.. Do you think adding the shock would make a difference, or should I put the original springs back on the rear only, or will I need the shocks either way? Tires 245/35/20 Eibach Springs |
Did you add springs at the same time as the new rims? And how do the rolling diameters of your old and new tires compare?
|
it's a good practice to install aftermarket struts while you are installing springs. Only way you won't rub is to go back to OEM springs or roll your fenders.

Maybe just a small wheel spacer to bring the inside edge of the tire out beyond the springs. If that is where it is rubbing.

I had the Eibach springs on for about a year. I dunno about the rolling diameter comparison.. Not sure how to do this... |

Yeah, I will probably put the original springs back on. Thanks for the advice. Do you think I need the aftermarket shocks in the rear as well? |
