9.0 inch wide in front 4th gen

Anyone running 9" wide in the front? I know 8.5" with +30~+33 offset fits okay, but does anyone run 9" wide in front? If so, what offset? Any rubbing on full lock?

Really? Then you'd be okay with 9" and +42~45 offset.

Why so high offset? I'd rub the inner fenders like crazy on turns

Kevlo911 10-23-2006 08:20 AM

I had 9 or 10" in the front once 33 offset, it rubs like crazy when you turn.

How lowered were you, what was the tire size.

Kevlo911 10-23-2006 08:35 AM

Progess springs, but drop has nothing to do with it.

275 tires :wall:

Well at that point the tires are wider than the wheel! :lolrun:

Maybe it will work with a drift-style stretched 235 tire.

Stock offset is +45 to begin with.... unless you want the rims sticking out of the fender, which is :wtf:

Stock offset is also super recessed into the wheel wheel which is also :ugh:

I've run 17x9 +34 with a 255/40/17 with no rubbing. I would increase the offset since +34 sticks out a few mm in the front, looks perfect in the rear.

same wheel I'm running in my sig.

Cool im looking to run a 17 x 9 5Zigen wheel with +35 offset. Also with a 255/40/17 tire. Im still going to order only one wheel/tire for a test fit but now I feel confident it will fit. Did you have to roll the fenders or any of that to get them to fit?

I had to roll my rears (about halfway) with my 17x9 +40 Enkei's because it would rub on dips while carrying passengers in back.

Thanks z32drifter for the pics and info. With them sticking out like that I'm guessing you're not too slammed either.

z32drifter 10-24-2006 04:12 PM

These wheels are my track wheels for my Z32, so they don't stay on the car for long. I did notice that the rears would hit when going thru high speed dips, I'm sure rolling the inner fender edge would correct the minor contact.
As for not too slammed, my car is on S-techs with AGXs.

If you look in the link under my sig, there are some other photos there.

I guess this means that i will not be able to use a 18x9 rim with 20mm offset with say 245/40/18

Spadezz 01-13-2007 10:13 PM

i just got some rims from a mustang for my 4th gen max, but they are 9.5 in wide with a 20mm offset, i put them on and they stick out in the back about an inch, and more in the front, it dosent look bad though, whats wrong with them sticking out? i was goin to add a spacer in the back to even them out

well i just got my rims mounted today, them things are hot!! how do i put pics up? btw, the wheels have a offset of 20mm, maybe thats why they're able to fit and they dont rub at all, my tire size is 255/35/18

I own shadows car now and it has 19x9 30 offset with a 255/35/19 tire and it sticks out a little in the front and rear, both rub a bit and the rear can't ride passengers cause it will rub like crazy.
