Riken Rapter's

I have a set of 16's on the car now (came with them) and had a puncture in the sidewall of the tires it came with (some weird Wyocet brand)...

Replaced it with a Riken Rapter (215/55/16) and considered putting a set all around before I sold the wheels.

Riken Raptor ZR Performance Tires

Tires that let you smoke the competition.

These Riken Raptor ZR ultra-high performance tires feature an aggressive directional tread pattern for serious grip in both wet and dry conditions. The Raptors' advance tread compound, along with a high-modulus composition sidewall, gives quick response during cornering and maximizes handling. A waved center rib helps channel water while providing additional support, responsiveness, and traction, and a computer-phased tread design ensures a quiet, comfortable ride. Raptor tires also have built-in rim protectors that help keep your wheels from scuffing.

Anybody had them before?

weird.... I haven't had any air pressure problems and mine ride pretty quiet.
Grab pretty good, but they're no toyo proxies.
I have 16's on for some stupid on (car came with)
so I'm puttin on a new set so the wheels will sell fast.

18's wrapped in Pirelli PZeros :)

I have Riken Raptors on my car. Couple months ago I tried to make a left turn through a major intersection, in the rain, and I did a freakin' 360! Thank goodness it was 7:30 on a Sunday morn so there werent many cars on the road. Needless to say, it scared the crap outa me. Lookin' to change out as soon as possible.

Bro,

I would advise you to go with a good name. When I heard they were made by Michelin, I was like, ok, just thinking it is their low-end, economy sports tire. No problemo. Hit a pothole (which bent my wheel) and it tore the tire up. Ok, this could have been an effect of hitting the pothole yes. but like I stated earlier, this is not a high-end set of tires. With that said, if you sometimes drive your car hard (as most of us on this forum do from time to time) get something that will protect you if something happens.

I generally try to invest good money into tires, but I had just bought wheels, and was like "Spend $1000 on tires?". But, your life literally rides on your tires, so value that and get some good ones.

I just got a set of G35 wheels and will be wrapping them in the Pirelli P-Zero Nero's I have when they come.

I have them in 225/35/18's and I don't have any problems with them. I had one blowout due to a pothole. Other than that they stick pretty good in the rain and aren't overly loud. Perhaps I would have to demo some nicer tires to tell a difference, but these are much better than the old Michelin's that I was using on my 15 inchers.
