245 45 18 - from 235 45 ?
I`m "dumb" when it comes to wheels - sizes, offsets fitment etc. I just can not figure this out.....
So here's the deal
Currently i have a set of 235 45 18 mounted on 03 m45 wheels which are 18x7 with +35 offset i think.
When searching for tires there is a limited number of choices in that size, but when going to 245 45 18 - selection is almost limitless....
I did search and search and found some interesting topics and answers, some of them even mentioning that 225 45 18 would be fine.
Do you guys think that i will be able to get away with 245 without any issues?
Currently lowered by way of progress springs and tokico blues
thanks in advance
PS. with the 7" rim i should be able to get away with 225 45...yes?

What year is your car? I'm assuming 04-08? I would go to the tire manufacture and check the specs for maximum allowable wheel width, etc for the tire you want to 'try'.
I wouldn't go wider than a 235 personally on a 7" wide wheel. You may have a smidge more room to play with since the sidewall isn't terribly short, but yeah, wouldn't do it and would refer to tire specs from the manufacturer.

i think 225/45/18 would NOT look good at all on maxima ... unless u go with 225/40/18 on front n back u do 245/45/18 ... n offset of +35??? i thought the OEM offset of maxima was like +40?? not really sure if u run into problems but good luck with it

the stock tires on 03 M45 are 18x7 with 235 45 for tires
I was surprised that those are 18x7 when i goggled it...I was pretty sure they are 18x8....
the only reason that i`m looking at the 245 width is just because of the 10x more choices instead of 235
