Tire Size Question

Okay, so I have a set of 18" wheels with the tires sizes 245/45/18 front, and 225/45/18 rear. Will I have any rubbing issues at all on my 95 SE? Thanks guys.

The 245-45's will probably rub. Why not get 245-40's all around?

I would, but the thing is the tires are on the wheels already. They came off a G35 coupe. Hope they fit.

There is more room in the back then the front...

To give you a more accurate answer, we would need to know what kind of rims, or atleast the width and offset...Since they came off a G35 coupe, I am assuming they are the forum boner 7 spokes judging by the tire sizes...

STICKY, right up there ^^^ in the Wheels and Tires section

Get 235/40/18 all around and you'll be set.

it seems that 17x7 is the size for my 98 maxima gle, im considering black rims with a red lip? my maxima is black with the silver outline for the windows and door handles-98 gle maxima. any suggestions on a really light rim but sexy ? dont want to spend too much either, thanks.

Just an FYI - Factory Tires on my 00 are 225/50/17" which are 225mm wide by @660mm in diameter. Your 225/45/18's are also 225mm wide by 660mm in diameter. I don't know what OEM size was for the 95 -but I'm guessing those will fit fine -and yes, the wider ones should go on the rear. Like the other poster says, it is rim size that is probably more critical. I think those rims are 8" wide, which may cause problems.

I just had 18x7.5 akita AK2's delivered and am waiting on 225/45/18 General Exclaim UHP's to arrive. I did the math for my 2000 SE and the difference should be only .45" wider than the 7" factory rims and exactly the same diameter. I have a spreadsheet that I'll share with anyone who wants. It has a bunch of the lower cost tire sizes and brands in 17, 18, and 19" sizes. It won't display here correctly.

Take them back. They f'ed up, and need to set you up with tires that fit. Also, bumping a 4 year old thread for an unrelated question will get you flamed.

Welcome to the forums.

^^^ what he said.

Check the sidewall and ensure that they are indeed the size they said they were.

I'm assuming you have OEM wheels and that you are not lowered?
