Sumitomo HTR A/S P02 W-Rating
Is anybody running Sumitomo HTR A/S P02 W-Rating tires?
I've been running a set on an 04 Civic for three months. So far so good. Now I'm thinking about another set for the 4th gen Maxima.
Size: 235/45R17
Car: 1998 Maxima GLE - Automatic with VLSD - stock springs at the moment.
Speedo: +0.8% more revs per mile over stock size. So at a 20 MPH speedo reading, the car will be moving at 19.8 MPH. I'm ok with that small difference.
Wheels: 17" x 7" Juke wheels at 35mm offset.
Would I be better off with 225/45R17 since I'm planning to use H & R lowering springs at some point in the future?
The car will be doing mostly suburban driving. A few interstate trips here and there. No plans for autoX. We usually get a couple weeks of snow and ice during the winter.
Tires:
Current wheels are stock 4th gen sawblades running 205/65R15 Mastercraft tires that came with the car when I bought it.
A/S tires are preferred due to ice covered curvy hills in winter. No road salting. I see this scene quite often when the roads get bad.

hey, what tires did you end up getting 225 or 235? i just got some 17x8 +35 and considering getting 225 45 17 which will be about 9mm smaller than a 235 45 17. i got eibach pro and want to go another finger lower but im worried the 225 will leave a huge gap between the fender and look awkward.
