Bad Engine Coolant Temp Sensor=No heat?
It's been about 2 weeks without heat in my car.The heater blows cold air on any speed and the needle was going up and down before I changed the tstat today. When I changed the coolant today it was a brownish green mix color. I put new coolant in and I still get cold air blowing out. The needle did not go to H but sat at the C for a while and after 5 minutes it went straight to the middle.
After reading around I read about the ECTS. Would a faulty sensor cause me not to have any heat? If the sensor is good I'm afraid it will be the water pump and from what I've read it's a PITA to change.

it could be the water pump, but, did you bleed the system for air? maybe you have an air pocket in your heater core. in order to bleed it you will ned to jack up the front end a little. run it with the cap off until all the bubbles stop and the fan kicks on. try that first.

There is nothing wrong with your cooling system or you would be overheating.Your blend door in the HVAC unit is not functioning right.
Coolant is hot, but your not routing your incoming air through the heater core. Its like driving with the vents on. Its the control unit or the door motor.
Check the temp of both heater hoses, it could also be a plugged core.

I'm just guessing, but if your coolant level in the radiator is full and you just replaced the T-stat, I'd say it's the heater core. ??? I had no heat in my previous car (Chevy) and it was even after replacing the H2O pump, T-stat, and coolant flush - through the heater core as well. The heat worked awesome for a few days but then didn't work again (or was cold). I sold it before I took care of that issue. I just assumed it was the heater core and didn't want to bother with it since the car had other issues as well. Anyway, I hope you figure it out. Good luck!

its most likely clogged...get the car up to operating temp...turn air on....
meh to lazy to type, click this link to flush the core..

it not then there is an air pocket in there...just burp the system
