Fenders 97 (removal)

How difficult is it to remove the front fenders of a 97 Max. They are different from the 99. Looks simple up top, but I've heard horror stories it can be all day?
Any clues or best routes?

You've got a few along the top edge, a few are accessed by the door jamb, remove the inner splash shield and corner light, there's a few nuts & bolts accessed from underneath towards the front end. (they are a bit of a PITA) Should take you 15-20 min. tops.

It's just nuts and bolts, take your time.

About 8 screws overall holding the fender 4 on top and 2 on the side(door jamb) 2 at the bottom(by door jamb also) and then you'll have the retaining screws on the splash shield and the fender brace all by wheel shouldn't take long at all good luck

Not at all. You can access the bumper bolts through the bottom splash guard directly below the fender and bumper connection. It's 3 bolts, if I recall correctly. Again, as somebody already posted, a PITA, but completely doable... If you're not lowered

I was at pull your parts scrap yard recently, on fenders, there is a difference between 97 and 99 and likely small changes as well even though it still looks the same.
