Alternator 12mm post nut

Greetings gents, just got the remaining portion of my grounding kit, and i'm having trouble removing the 12mm alternator post nut. There is a metal clamp underneath the nut that's turning at the same time making the wiring twist as I turn trying to get it off.

I know I can't be the only person that has had this problem. I've search the forum and everyone says just remove the nut. Thanks in advance for any positive feed back.

Hold the wires and bust the nut.

Appreciate the quick feedback fellas, after I posted, went back and held the metal piece with my hand as I turned the nut, and it came off easy peasy, and all is well again...time to check for all these promised differences

George, something just doesn't seem right about using flammable liquids where sparks could possibly fly
