Question
New to the forum. Have an '07 maxima with 104k miles. Recently had an issue with rear speed sensors where I could not drive above 25 mph (abs, trac control, slip lit up on dash). I pulled the ABS fuse (caused speedometer not to work) so I could drive the car until I got the sensors replaced. Car runs fine now but my service engine soon light is on and giving the following codes: P500 (vehicle speed sensor), P0725 (engine speed signal), P1212 (ABS/TCS communication line) P1574 (ACSD vehicle speed sensor), P1722 (estimated vehicle speed signal) and U1001 (invalid or missing data for primary ID). I'm wondering if I caused all these codes by pulling the fuse and driving without the speedometer working? Any help would be appreciated.

Pulling the fuse probably is the cause of all the DTC codes. The ABS unit is what determines the car's speed. By pulling the fuse and killing the ABS unit, the ECU is no longer getting a bunch of signals from it, so the check engine light comes on.
If you put the fuse back in, the check engine light will still be on and most of the codes will still be there. You have to either reset the ECU or drive the car for a couple of days and the ECU will reset itself IF the problems are no longer detected.
