2009 Maxima SV-Panoramic sunroof leak
Hello All,
New to the forum and was wondering if anyone has this issue.
The Panoramic(Dual Panel) sunroof on my 2009 Maxima SV is leaking when it rains on Passenger side by the A Pillar seam at top of passenger door?
All the weather stripping looks good, Car is Garaged and have opened up the sunroof only a handful of times since owning for last 6 years. No issues when it opens or closes.
I dont see any drain tubes that run down the pillar when I removed gasket on top of door to remove moulding?
Also there is no drain holes in the corner like conventional sunroofs? I checked Nissans service manual for this and diagram does not show drain tubes!
Has anyone had this issue and know how to fix? I cant figure out how it drains the water if it is clogged? Appreciate any help.
Thanks

Hi,still no!! There are no drain hoses in that I can find physically or see in the service manual for panoramic sunroof? Are you getting water coming in! Matt

Yep...same here. Im leaning towards the roof gasket, because I dont see any other way that it drains? Does the water come in at the Apillar top seam passenger door? Thats where Im getting it? Check both driver and passenger side gaskets & even front gaskets to see if theres any damage or excessive gaps.I took my car to auto body shop and he was stumped as well?

i think the leak is coming from the front sunroof window . The window seal gave out and now holds water, I pushed up on the window and water gushed out I think it’s a slow leak. I’m going to put black silicon on it to see if that works.

Hi, The problem with my maxima was the winshield gasket in the upper passenger corner. I found leak by pouring water by winshield only! Not sunroof! Installer at glass shop said under winshield frame was Rusted! They painted installed new winshield and gasket no more leaks! It had nothing to do with sunroof! Check the top and corner of winshield gasket for cracks or detorioration! Pour water by gasket of winshield and see if water comes in? If so go to glass shop! Problem is wshield gasket! Hope this helps.. Matt.QUOTE=tfowler0218;9257632]I have the exact same issue, for the dual sunroof the water drains on the exterior we don’t have drain tubes.
