Navigation Questions

Ok first I would like to know how I can enter my home address in my navigation because it still has the one from the previous owner and I don't know how to change it. And then I don't know if there's anything wrong with my navigation or if i am doing something wrong but sometimes it doesn't work and i can't type in an address..Where it says Street Address and Points of Interest those are both grayed out and you can't even click on them. Why is that happening? And also sometimes when it does work it won't give me directions like when i find the address and try to click on it it says "Sorry, data does not exist for this location" and then sometimes when it works and its giving me directions sometimes it doesn't recognize my current location it thinks i am somewhere else and it gives me wrong directions.. I have a 2009 maxima if that matters

Are you trying to input the information as the car is moving? It will not allow you to do that unless you do the the Nav/Video bypass.

Break out your instruction book and start reading. If you don't have one I suggest you park the car and start playing with it to learn how it works. As the other guy said you can't enter anything when the car is in motion, the areas will be grayed out. Also, you have to ensure that the map is set to your current location and or state. I don't know how to do the "bypass" as the one guy said and of course its not wise to put your home location in the system for obvious reasons. But that's your call, for the "home" location on mine I use my subdivision marker. I figure anyone I let drive the car should know how to get to my house from there.
