Building a 98 maxima as a tribute.
Hello everyone. My name is Mike from NJ.
I own 98 maxima I belive GLE.
Last week my mother passed away and I was given her car. I had immediately wanted to sell the car, but my friends and family told me I should hang on to it. Still thinking I wanted to sell it I even had someone who was going to buy it.
A few days ago a few friends where over and we were watching the first fast and furious. We all started joking about turning the car into the blue maxima from the movie. Slowly it started to change from joking about it, to how to do it.
My mom was always a funny person, and we kind of realized that the over the top/comical nature of it would be a good way to honor her memory instead of just selling the car.
Right now the car has some rust spots and needs some maintenance. Once it's all in order, the plan is to wrap the car metallic blue and have the original graphics with the lip and side skirts from the original car.
Needs some work but it's a good running and driving car.
I've never owned any nissans before. I've always had Hondas and vws (I'm a vws salesman) so I used to a very different type of car.
