It was about 88 degrees with high humidity. 96 GXE Automatic. I have a frankencar intake, warpspeed Y, OBX catback. Stock 15" steels. I did a brake stand at about 1800 RPM then floored it, not much more to do after that.

I went back to WIR on Wed. for some more runs. This time my Dad came with to run his truck as well, a 02 F-250 deisel with a chip. We had a great time racing against each other!!

My best new time is 15.581 @ 88.282 mph 2.407 60'

The weather was good for racing, about 68 degrees and low humidity, but a 10-15 mph head wind.

I tried launching a few different ways, but I think brake standing at about 2000 rpms works the best so far. I wish I could lower my 60' times. I noticed quite a bit more wheel hop this time at take off.

Hey tm96max, where do you live? I visit WIR occasionally also. Went with Bluesbrekr last time. Next Spring I plan to hit the track with my Y-pipe, Underdrive pulley and intake. I'm aiming for the 14's. I'm also thinking about getting some wheels for the track since I've been AutoXing lately and the tire wear is so bad I'd be better off with a set of R compounds. I live in Appleton, so WIR is just about 15-20 minutes away for me.

It was his first time out to the track ever and he really had a great time. His best time was 16.7 @ 81.7mph. I do not think he was doing a brake stand though. His truck has alot of tourque and I thought he would be better from the line than me, he was at about a 2.5 60'. But it is alot of weight to move so...

I live near Luxemburg about 45 min. from WIR. I have never seen another Maxima at the races, so that would be cool to see another one there. I went both times on Wed. night when it is suppose to be mostly imports but many domestics come out to race also, especially mustangs. My next mod will be the underdrive pulley, every little bit helps, especially with an automatic. Where do you AutoX? Road America?

I'll have to drop you a PM next spring and head out to WIR for a few runs. I've gone on Fridays mostly because I take night classes and UWFV and they sometimes fall on Wednesdays. Next summer I'm not planning on taking any courses though. There are a ton of domestics there no matter when you go. Imports still don't get much respect up here. I AutoX with the Fox Valley Sports Car Club. Many of them are just at the FVTC around cones. It's fun, but I would love to hit a road course some time. For the last 5 years I've been saying I would like to get to Road America, but never do. Maybe next year.
