today=1st time at track

today i went to englishtown for the first time and overall it was a pretty good day...my best time was a 14.84 @92.93...which i thought was pretty impressive considering all i have is a greddy catback on an auto gle...with full interior, spare, jack, etc...my best reaction time was a .260...0-60..2.28..1/8 is 9.57

Aside from that i was now wonderin...after im finished a run should turn off my car to let it cool down while i wait or should i just let it sit idle...and what rpm should i be auto shifting at?

to be honest with u...i have no idea how i did it...i was pretty nervous considering it was my first run...my reaction was horrible like a .6xx or sumthing...and the best time i got after that was a 14.9 flat... screwed up a couple times tho...i raced juice who was running an impressive 14.3x for an auto...and i wound up gettin my worst of the day which was a 15.1 cause i was too excited and screwed up when i went from 2nd to 3rd in the autoshift...hopefully next time i go i can hit 14.8s again so it wasnt a fluke...hopefully soon i will scan my slips...pc

I'm stupid. I just assumed he had a 4th gen for some reason. 14.8 with just catback is still a good time for a 2003. Congrats.

Good times, nice solid #'s for an auto GLE. 60' was good. Oh, your 0-60 was not done in 2.28 seconds, your 60' TIME was 2.28 seconds. That's the measure of how well you got out of the hole. First 4 car lenghts out.

Your car is running pretty good, typical times for a 5th gen Auto. Next time, let the trans shift itself for a run, see how much better you are then the auto trans, you might be surprised how good the trans shifts itself...

Good times, decent trap. How warm was it? If the weather is decent, you should be able to trap around 94.... with just intake and UDP i consistantly trap at 94.4 to 95.2 or so. Your cat-back should be makin similar power gains as my intake does. Anyways, nice times, and hope ya beat some cars down there

OK. I'm so ready to hit the strip again. Why does the weather have to suck so bad up here?

Derek, what times would you predict for me, berk intake and cattman ypipe on good sticky Sumitomo HTR+'s, with good launch, tranny doing its own shifting, cool weather 50 degrees low humidity? I hope these mods really make a difference. I have to check on the TS ECU re-flash, see if it is a wise investment.

Sorry for the hijack.

If you can get another 60' time below 2.2 seconds, i'd say you'd be good for 14.5's. With my 2.288 60' time, i pulled my 14.66 and that was in 70+ degrees with like 90% humidity. In cooler weather you'll have a harder time getting the same kinda traction you do in the warm, but if you can get like a 2.2xx 60' time, you'll be makin some nice torque in the cooler air + intake. Your top end will be a lil stronger too with the cat-back, so you could hit high 95's for trap speeds, 14.5xx for ET. Thats my best guess, hopefully not too optimistic. I think in the cooler weather it'll come down to how well you can launch. Wont be too bad tho for you with the good tires, I still got my stock Turenzas

Cant wait to hit up the track again myself too! I think I'm gonna invest in at least a b-pipe before goin tho, now that I actually have a lil income (got me a job to do in my "spare time" at college!! ) I want 14.4's or better this summer. Oh BTW, dont forget to do the drop resistor mod!!! Not sure, but it could save ya a tenth or so
