It's not a max story but I'm so excited I've got to share!!!

My buddy has a 1998 M3 Roadster and we took it to the local 1/8m track in Burlington NC. My Max is out of town with the wife so we thought racing his car would be a fun guy thing to do for the weekend. Niether of us had ever been racing.

We both made four runs with it. My best was a 9.515 at 74.69mph. His was a 9.747 at 75.75 mph. (On each pass his trap was faster but I beat his ET???) Anyway, my R/T was about .250 where his was averaging about .600. With my automax I think I can do better...he will not. If my Max can manage a 10.0 totally stock I wanna race him.

Temps were about 90 with 90% humidity. I'll get the MAX to the track when it comes back in town... Unless you guys think I'm wasting my time...

Off topic I think not. The Forum is 1/4 and 1/8 mile Racing, which is precisely what I am talking about. Since it is my thread I set the subject and it's about first time at the track.

Besides, I bring up the MAX at the end!! Just wonder if it could hang with the Beemer.
