First time at the track 14.277

Like the title says, this was my first time ever running my car at the track. After starting the day running high 14's and even a 15.0 I finally got my launch down a little better and started running decent times.

RT.....0117
60.....2.319
330...6.159
1/8...9.306
mph..78.58
1000..11.990
1/4...14.277
mph..98.49

That was my best time with a 50 shot of nitrous. The bottle was damn near emty on that run. After my best I hit my purge and it was only gas coming out so I decided the night was over. I'm still not pleased at all even though it was almost freezing temp and I don't have a bottle heater so I know the spray wasn't working to it's full potential. Plus traction was a big issue.

Any other mods?

Seems slow IMO. But that's probably because it was your first time out.

From: Auburn WA,
I have intake and headers but really need to tune. I'm running really lean. I'm sure ice cold weather really hurt also. I could bearly get any spray out of my bottle when I purged so I know the bottle preasure must have been really low. I'm also running on my 19's with a big fiberglass speaker box in the trunk.

Yes I'm going to try to get many runs in this year. Already planning on going next sunday but this time I'll try to clean out my car and take the box and my spare out.

Another member on here with a boosted 4th gen was pulling about the same times, He got one 14 flat and a couple 14.3's. Traction was really a issue for both of us.

By the way, Congrats on breaking into the 13's Ceasar

Bone chilling temps didn't hurt performance, but I'm sure it hurt launching.

With a little practice you'll be in the 13's... Maybe even off the spray. ...

You're right, because I was spinning all the way through 2nd when I was and wasn't spraying. I ran 3 runs spraying and 2 not spraying and the runs were not that diffenent.

you had a lot of issues obviously, your least time should be a 13.8. fill the bottle up next time get it heated right, and takeoff with less tire spin. that should get you well into the 13's.

We're going again this weekend. I guess it's an import day so I don't know if it will be more or less crowded. I'm going to strip some weight down and have a full bottle so I'm sure I'll get some better times. Sure wish I had money for a bottle heater though. Hope to see ya there again Nick, You got some good runs in

Don't really need any help, I just need to get off my *** and do it this week. It will only take me about 20-30 min to pull the box and the back seat out.

To bad about that girl, she had a nice little *** on her.

Trap speed doesn't seem that impressive but if you can get your 60ft down to a 2.0 you'd be in the 13's

From: Auburn WA,
Just found out that the inside of my cat completley fell apart and clogged my resinator. After removing all the honeycomp crap from the res my car feels much faster. I will be going to the track again on the 17th and will update my new times then. By the way my car feels compared to the way it has been for a while now I'm sure I'll be in the 13's no problem

Quit picking on me! I will try, but will take practice. Right now I'm trying to learn how to launch this thing withoug gettin so much wheel hop. On one run wheel hop was so bad that it popped out of 1st! I lowered air pressure and it helped a bit. Just need to practice, practice, practice

Be careful with that wheelhop man, wheelhop is a quick way to break a transmission or an axle.

Ya, I know. It already broke the flex portion of my exhaust. I'm planning on getting some se motor mounts in the near future.

Didn't somebody make traction bars for are cars also?
