if you cant use your ebrake it will be useless, probly worse. even using my ebrake i get pulled pretty far up there. if you dont have an ebrake working youll only do a mini burnout that really wont help.

ATCO Raceway you pretty much have no choice with the it's set up. You go through a wall and the water is right after it, and they hose it down after every car.. just no physical way to go around. With the Camaro I pull up just out of the water then just spin the tires a bit before staging.
Haven't gotten the Maxima to the track yet.. later this month

i dont have a e brake either, but it doesn't make a difference if you have power. i just floor it and the car sits there and spin and just as it catches i slam on the brakes.

Yeah thats what I did this weekend. I torqued it to about 2k and floored it and it spinned until I got grip. I got 7 runs in this weekend and did 2 burnouts. I dont have my slips with me to see the difference in my 60'. But I did get my PB 60' when I avoided the waterbox. It was a 2.192.

i just like to get them warmed up a lot, not just spin em for a few secs, i like to do 5-10 secs of good burnout

I'm with you, but I do spin the wheels just slightly to get everyone else crap off my tires.

Automatic on streets - I just slowly roll through it. Can't avoid it at Champion but I drove around it at the Taupo track.

Ceasar-- I was thinking of getting some T1-R's with the track in mind, but this thread is making me reconsider. Do you notice better 60's with the T1-Rs?

My track is all **** about going in the water box. Even with street tires they force you in the water box. The only way I avoided it was to get in the right lane and go around the water box. I have gotten into heated arguments with track officials because they told me to take the left lane and I just don't hook up at all, especially after you can't avoid the water box in the left lane.

In NA in the left lane all I do is spin some 1st gear. With nitrous I spin all the way up to 3rd in the left lane.

My best times resulted in going in the right lane, avoiding the water box then spinning the tires a little to get all the crap off. NA I chirp them and same thing with nitrous.
