I have never run at any of those tracks. But I know Ennis is a decent track. They hold NHRA sanctioned events there. It would probably be the most expensive out of that list though. My vote would be a 1/4 mile track or nothing! I'm personally not interested in what my 1/8 mile time is.

I will be down there, and would love to get to the track. But I am not all that interested in the 1/8 mile. I would probably still go, but lets try and stick to the 1/4

i agree with the guys, 1/4 mile track or nothing. 1/8th is just getting started, and you dont get to show your true power.

I'll give my 2cents on these:

Texas Motorplex in Ennis is the only 1/4 mile track around here. It's a good track, but is always packed. I hate sitting in line for 5 hours only getting to run twice But if you want to run the 1/4 it's pretty much your only option around here. The track is VERY sticky.

My favorite 1/8th mile here is Sanger - www.dentondragway.com
Their Midnight Madness is always great, and you can get tons of runs in. You can get over 20 runs in a night, even with letting your car cool down between runs. Also it has a decent mix of domestics and imports. It's a straight shot up I-35, just past UNT. Track prep is usually good, I scored 2.1X 60fts in my 200sx, SpecV, and Altima here on crappy street tires.

I hate Kennedale (Tx Raceway), long lines, bad track prep, far drive, etc. Also, last I checked it is only an 1/8th mile unless they expanded it since I last went. I had very poor 60fts here.

Redline Raceway - I went once when they first opened.. It is kind of a drive out east of the metroplex. The lines weren't too bad and the surface was good... was just a far drive. More of your muscle-car crowd.

YellowBelly = MAD GHETTO, avoid at all costs...
CedarCreek - never been.
