Slicks question...

Will 26"x10" slicks clear without any cutting on a 5th gen? What width/backspacing are you guys running with a 15" slick? Thanks..

Why do you think you need 26" slicks.

I have seen FWD's run 10's with 1.4 60' times with 24's. Don't out engineer yourself.

26"x10" are what the F-body guys are running. You really don't need that wide of a drag wheel setup on a 5th gen or any other gen maxima.

Yes they will fit unless 5th gen has less room than a 4th gen which I'm sure it doesn't.

Who's trapping 150mph on 24.5" tires? lol... trust me, We will need a 26x10 on this car... I've been building big HP cars for a long time.. and I know what size slick I need to use. I can't go into detail about the car, because the owner wants to keep it under wraps until it's near completion. A few people here know about the car..

With regards to your width/backspacing question I've had 10.5" ET Streets bolted on my car on both 15x8 welds with a 4.5" backspacing (iirc) and 15x7" Kosei K1s with a +44mm offset.

So, a 15x9" rim with a 4.5" backspacing should work perfectly with a 26x10" slick..

lol..
