Naturally Aspirated 3.0 95 auto 13.8@101

Well guys i went to the strip today and was disapointed.
Every ran i made was 14.1-14.2 @98-99mph. So i was ready to give up and take the slicks off. All i was hoping for was a 13 sec run.Well i didn't give up and went and made my final run of the day.

60ft-2.246
330ft-6.029
mid mph-81.47
660ft-9.058
990ft-11.597
mph-101.70
1320ft-13.886

This run was made at interstate dragways in sabin mn at 4.59 pm

I went home and was going to go back out after it cooled down but the closed the track down early because nobody was there.

The best 60ft i pulled all day was 2.125

Race weight was 2450 + me(175)

Mods are
warpspeed y-pipe(i ran open y-pipe)
place racing CAI
ES motor mounts
es subframe bushings
sprint lowering springs(Front only)
15x7 kosei k1's wrapped in 22x8 MT drag slicks
technosquare ecu

Heres a couple pics i just took. I have a couple videos also of some of my runs. I'm going to try to figure out how to work the camera though.

Theres alot more weight to remove yet. I was rushed to get it done so i would have liked to do more. I'm hoping to be 2000 pounds.Heres a small list of stuff i want to do for weight
Fuel cell
racing seat
remove headliner amd sunroof.
steering wheel
cut out spare tire well
cut out metal from doors
remove front power windows
replace glass with lexan
custom exhaust
possibly remove power steering(last year i didn't have it and wish i did
3.5L engine
Lighter rear wheels

Don't mind all my maxima junk laying around in the backgrounds or the hole/bodywork my drag car needs

Sweet! It sure needs some work, but heck its only going to get faster. Where is the rear 1/4 panel? I cant belive that passed tech inspection. I cant wait to get my SER on the track, its stripped to the bone. Do you have any goals?

I bought the car wrecked like that. I have another quarter from my 97 i just need to get it welded in.

As i was mounting my slicks on everybody was telling me not to bother because i wasn't going to pass tech. I did with no problems even though it's a nhra sanctioned track.

My only goal was to trap 100 mph and get into the 13's.
With the 3.0 i'm only expecting 13.5 na I don't really plan on getting any other mods.

Ive been thinking of a big shot of nitrous to see how fast it will really go.

I tried a few runs without it and i was about a tenth slower. My fastest run was with the ts ecu though. I am getting like 12 codes with the ts ecu. Alot of them are for the evap system which the 95 don't have

13.8 is very solid..just got the TS ECU and i didnt think it could get a max into the 13's...now this forces me to go to the track bc i have the same mods pretty much....

Don't expect to get in the 13's with similar mods.Chances are it won't happen unless your max is completly stripped.

Last years best was almost the same thing. A horrible 60ft but the best run of the day. http://forums.maxima.org/showthread.php?t=433426

I just need to get it all wrapped up in the same run.
An intake manifold would be a great addition also.

It would be a sleeper with no cf hood, front lowering springs and stock wheels up front.I just finished putting the car completly back together and runing good this morning at 11 and was at the strip at 12:30. I have been driving my other two runing maximas.

Awesome man! You're the first 4th gen NA Auto in the 13s! I knew it would only be a matter of time. I busted 13s for the 1st time a couple months back. There is so much more you can do in the power department NA.

I don't see a high stall torque converter. You'll love shaving a tenth and a half in your 60 foot alone! 13.5s are definitely possible with just a higher stall TC.

I was actually surprised to see 100 mph trap speed in my VE. I'm starting to get towards the top of 3rd gear at the end of the track, which is NICE for the trap speed.

My curb weight is 2750. But, my car weighed in at 3300lbs stock. That's 550lbs for me. Do you know how many pounds you've shaved?

Great times man! This is another breakthru for the NA Auto guys!
