I don't blame you...and neither will I. I want colder weather!!! I'll definitely be tuned by the winter. After I get tuned and get some good times down, I'll add some as well. Probably just a 65 shot at first, that should put me well over 300whp.

3.5 + nitrous + tune = broken axles on slicks...with my luck, broken axles on street tires.

i find it really hard to brake an axle on street tires, you'll just spin in place. broken axle would probably be on full slicks.

You always run on street tires though, right? You should try some DRs or even slicks, should make a world of difference. Ive also had odd traction experiences. My normal 60ft is 2.3s but ive pulled 2.0s twice which resulted in a 14.3@96. Strange, its never had anything in between like a 2.2 or even 2.1.

Nice times. Get those 60's down and you will easily hit 13's.

thanx guys. i got new street tires so ill be goign back to the track soon and hopefully land 13's. im installing walbro 190 pump and maybe put in 100shot jets, thats a maybe though, because without slicks 1st gear and probably 2nd is goign to be useless.

I still have the same setup with the rpm switch, nitrous comes on at 3k and off at 6k (before the auto shifts)

For my 1st run, i berly had a chance to brake torque so i basically launched from almost idle or lil below 1000rpm. I took off without any spin but since nitrous dosnt turn on till 3k i had alot of lag between launch and 3k, and thats where im loosing time. here is my 1st run slip.

For my 2nd run, I launched the exact same way, i held the brake but the light didnt give me a chance to rev a lil higher (always gets me by surprice).
Also this time I removed the 6k pill from the rpm switch so that I could spray inbetween shifts, it turns out it didnt make a difference wats so ever, the previous run was better by a few hundreds.

For the third run, I put back the 6k pill since it didnt make a difference. I also switched to the other line without knowing that it wasnt as properly prepped.
This time since my 60' wasnt great (2.3) in the two previous runs, i got a lil more ready at the light and brake torque passed 1k maybe about 1500 or so, but as soon as i took off i just spun alot off the line, and since i was closer to 3k I didnt have enough momentum for the nitrous and didnt get great traction with it, also as i was going down the track in 2nd gear it felt as if occationally the tires would slip, this was my worse run in every aspect, 60', trap, and 1/4 time. Only if i could launch the same but actually hook, i would definitely do alot better.

can anyone tell me if I use 225/55/16 tires for 4 th gen Max auto, does it make my car slower on top speed or does it become slower in various speed?

your time and trap seems right on target with a auto 75 shot, how much better you can do with a different size tire isnt much unless its a slick.

I assume by "your" you were refering to my times. I think with an auto you woudlnt wanna go with tall tires, you would want to go with shorter ones since we have such long gears it will somewhat shorten the gearing n allow quicker acceleration, thats why jime or grey99 got 23" slicks. on street tires though, you wont benefit since smaller tires u will spin the crap out of them.

u said my time n trap seem right on target for auto on 75, but is it still on target considering i have an 00vi?

My personal opinion:

1. Get 23/8.5/15 M&H slicks, on 8" alloy wheels. Set to 14psi - or less, later.

2. Bypass the window switch. Get your bottle hot - 1100psi.

3. Do a nasty burnout in the water box w/Ebrake on - let teh brake off and spin up to the staging area. (keeps the slicks dry)

4. Brake-torque as high as you can hold it at staging.

5. Floor it (and spray) as close to green-lite as you can. Keep your foot in it all the way.

That's my way now - I finally got up the nerve to do what Jime used to do. When you crack into the 13's, go to 100-shot. You'll need Jbars, but a 13.7 or lower is worth it.

Notice: this is my personal opinion, but works for me.... You can do this.
