Where are you running?

If it's Commerce I would say 15.2-15.7 depending on heat and track prep.

Yes the 17's will be slower than the SB's

he's only got the 17s on the rear. they won't have any noticeable effect if they are just on the rear.

don't expect anything, that way you can't be disappointed. just go with the intention of learning how to race and to get better. worry about the times once you know what you're doing and know your car is in proper working order, etc.

you should see about that caps lock key though.

good luck at the track.

Why does wheel size have an affect on track time? I thought only tire size had that affect because it changes the gear ratio, like bigger tires would make you slower but give you a higher top speed and smaller tires would do the opposite.

because larger/heavier wheels take more effort (horsepower) to turn than lighter/smaller wheels.

Weight is weight.

I agree with Neal on the expectations, especially at Commerce.

yea im goin to be runnin the same setup.

one more question....what about the hood?....is it a smart idea to remove it or would it mess up the aero dynamics. i kno that shiit wieghs a bit..

and at commerce, do they allow u to drive without a hood?
im goin this friday. i posted a thread about it to see how many maximas 4rm the metro atl area can attend so we could go against each other and test our times....not to mention there were a few honda and acura owners talkin alotta shiit..

In my experience it's not really like that.

The times do the talking, there's not much you can say unless you want to play the excuses game. I would leave your hood on, but vent it a good bit.

Do NOT forget to close it before you get staged as it will flip up and smash your windsheild, and that will disqualify you.
