First Time at the Track 9.64 @ 72.82mph

I went to an 1/8th mile track tonight and made 10 passes with pretty decent weather (65 degrees and dry). Most of my passes were pretty much right on with my best time of 9.64 @72.82 with a 2.22 60'. Reaction time was decent at .5219, but the car would not launch. On just about every pass, I smelled clutch. One time I pulled the ebrake and tried to spin the tires, but just spun the clutch. The car was running great, but just could not get the power to the track. I guess it's time for a new clutch and a set of drag radials.

not bad todd. looks like she would pull off a 14.8-14.9 at the 1/4 mile tracks. swap out that clutch and hey could be lower !

Thanks Ceasar. I know it will go faster. I was running Potenza RE950 tires too, which are 400 compound. Some DR and a clutch and I think it will go 9.50 and 14.70's.

Pacemakers in Mt. Vernon. It was a good night to go. The weather was good and there were probably only about 30 cars running.
