New PB 13.553 @ 101.94
Went to the track today and got one good run in. All the others got progressively slower...But I have a new PB. Mods are in Sig. Remember this is at over a mile above sea level.

Overall I need a tune and probably a new MAF, but then again, on these cars, whats new?

If you could get to a lowland track, like Great Bend in Kansas, you might knock off 1 or 2 tenths off that ET. Or more...

Or nitrous... Turbo provides its own atmosphere pressure - crank up the boost and you can maintain the same absolute intake pressure at 100ft and 7,000 ft altitudes. It will take a little longer to spool up at higher altitudes.
Nitrous provides the oxygen and nitrogen, so you just need to watch your A/F when at high altitudes. I suppose you could run a 200-shot on the top of Pike's Peak and dyno about 250 WHP.
/end of personal opinion.
GabWood, that is a nice Maxima.
Im not quite sure about nitrous, I have seen several cars run much slower with nitrous than they would at sea level. There was a mustang with 150 shot and drag radials, but was only turning 13.4's. Anothe being a k20 swapped hatch back running 14.2 with a 50 shot. Both cars had other mods to them as well. Everyone up here that wants to go fast either has a v8 or a turbo, or both.

Both cars ran slower withouth nitrous than they did with nitrous, the mustang was a low 15/high 14 second car with out it. The hatch never ran at the track without nitrous, but he ran a buddy of mine who has an ion redline that runs 14.6 at 100mph and lost to him.

GabWood, what do you think of your launches? Too much spin or no spin???? Do you run 15s or 16s ??
I used these M&H slicks last season. They hook up OK.

I drove my 99 Max out to Denver last August - family reunion stuff - and yes, my car got a lot slower in that thin air.

I plan on going dual stage next year also so I can (hopefully) break into the 12s. Also, I really need to get my car tuned, I installed my headers about a week before this event and havent had the time or money to get it tuned. Hopefully once I get it on the dyno I can see where I'm at, and where I need/want to go.
Forgot to add--I also plan on getting an exhaust cut out. I remember running the car open header when I installed the hotshots....boy was that fun! I hope this will help me some since I dont plan on buying an aftermarket exhaust. I like having a quiet car, except when I'm racing.

But, I definitely love being quiet on the street. All you hear is my intake roar. Every now and then, I open it up on the street when nobody is around just to have fun.

Man, i think you guys are crazy! I can't stand the sound of the cutout. Drives me nuts. I'm scrapping it on my new setup.
