Still on original tranny gear oil? Amsoil>* makes shifting butter smooth, and I dont notice a change in behavior from cold to hot condition, unlike Redline that is ubber notchy when cold.

Cant give you much advice on launching if you dont tell us how you're launching to begin with. What tires are you using? are you dropping pressure? Im pretty much trapping the same as you are, so I know how it feels to have that crappy launch (hard to tame the 3.5 on 1st gear on street tires).

What worked best for me on street tires was just off from idle (~1500) slip the clutch fast as you go moderately slower on the accelerator. You however, since your car is heavier than mine, and also have a much heavier flywheel, you might bog. So either go faster on the gas or launch from 1800-2000.

How fast you let off the clutch dictates how fast the tires will hook, but the gas is what will determine how much power is being applied. So too much gas and you'll spin, too little and it'll bog, and both depending on how fast you let off that clutch, lol. Its a finesse thing that I suck at. Just do like me and get slicks :-D. Launching from 4500 and no wheel spin .

Practice!

It looks like there is definitely room for improvement in the 60'. You can probably get .2 there with just practice. Make sure you are running enough revs, and try and trap at the top of a gear. Try launching off the e-brake too, this worked well in an old AWD Talon of mine. Good luck.

when i've been launching on street tires it's been at about 2500 rpm @3/4 throttle. it's got crazy wheel hop but it seems to cut nice 60 ft. times. i'm an 3.5 alti 5spd though so it might be different.
