Track tomorrow

Well, this will be my first time out to the tracks and only because i had a guy from work that wants to race me...
Im in a 1995 Maxima with Warpspeed Y, Hybrid Hot air intake, Custom Grounds, and a catback, and im using my sawblades with UHP tires.
(Im auto btw with 91,000 miles)

im up against a stock 2k1 I-30T limited slip diff. whos only mods are 350z anniversary 18's with potenzas...(also Auto with 110K miles )

what should i be running, what should he be running in the 1/4?

and what is the best launch rpm for an auto max with my setup?

I had a friend w/ a 95 auto w/ cai, y-pipe, and catback doing ~ 15.1 @ 93mph. You will probably be around that range, just get some practice on the light tree - the race will be won by the best reaction time / launch. I usually try to leave on the last yellow light. Good Luck, I think you should take him if you get a good reaction time. Not sure on the launch as i've only done manuals, but I'd imagine you want to stall the car up to around 2k -- others will chime in w/ better info i'm sure.

im gonna say your time will not be as great as you think. my guess is high 15, closer to 16 seconds. not that the car isnt capable of quicker times, but if you really are located in Florida like your avatar says, its hot. my best time in my auto i/y/exhaust, UDP was 15.9

also, how in the world do you plan on leaving at 2500 rpms in your auto??

i had two 95 auto gxe's, for your launch you should be about 2K, honestly you will probebly run a PB of 15.2 maybe 15.1 but you should average between 15.4-15.6 depending on weather n if your shifting, leave on the last yellow... if he's stock it will be close but you should get him by maybe 1 car at most... GL (i vote ur friend cause i have a 2K )
