07 maxima quarter mile 11/02/08

well finally made it to the track today with my bone stock 07 maxima cvt. i ran my car multiple times and the best i did was a 14.8 first run 15.8 second 15.2 third 15.0 fourth fifth sixth etc was all 14.8 this is how the best run looked like:::

R/T .113
60' 2.276
330 6.354
1/8 9.590
MPH 74.70
1000 12.423
1/4 14.833
MPH 93.26

I was pretty happy with the outcome i honestly expected higher time more like in the 15s but there is next year just have to get my mods ready for summer of 09

for some reason i expected those times to be lower... there was an 07 CVT in maryland that ran like a 14.1 with just an exhaust if i remember correctly...

I'm pretty sure Kevin's 14.1 passes were with the street tires. I still think his mods are pretty minor and his times are pretty impressive.

I think I was the first person on this site to post times for the cvt Max. Mine started off running 15.3s and eventually got down to a 14.5 in good air, bone stock. I think 14.8 is right on par with what the car should run.

What method did you use to launch and did you leave the car in drive through the entire pass?

what i did i had my tire pressure to 35 psi when i lined up i drove around the water.I reved it up to about 2k rpm then slightly punched it at the take off once the car stopped chirping i floored it.And i kept it on D the whole run down. The first run i ran a 15.8 because i punched it all the way to the floor at the take off and the car kept spinning

Wheel spin kills the cvt cars, even more so than normal cars. My 60' times were 2.15 with just a chirp. 2.25 with just a little spin.
