1/8th mile fun at CFRC
Location was at Central Florida Racing Complex on July 31st with high humidity and a temperature of about 88-90F. a few other guys from the forum including Redlinemax and Max4u2c where out there. got an 03 6spd with just a berk intake and an NWP VIAS delete block off plate. was on heavy *** factory 6 spokes on 225-50-17 falken ziex ze-502's. Open Differential. Factory clutch. 156k .Runs where as follows from worst to best, btw my reaction times are not in my consideration in my driving.
Run #1- 0.794 reaction, 2.239 60'ft, 73.76 mph, 9.896 et. missed second.
Run #2- 0.562 reaction, 2.341 60'ft, 75.04 mph, 9.745 et. crappy launch
Run #3- 0.451 reaction, 2.299 60'ft, 74.68 mph, 9.701 et. no excuses lol just gay driving on my end i guess
Run #4- 0.580 reaction, 2.454 60'ft, 76.46 mph, 9.632 et. chasing down bolted on srt-4. shifting like a maniac, spun a little off the line explaining the high mph and horrible 60'ft.
Run #5- 0.527 reaction, 2.188 60'ft, 75.56 mph, 9.506 et. thats alot more like it, finally buckled down, and found the perfect rpm to launch at for my set up 3800rpm with some slip.
it was a fun night, i still feel that with a cooler nite and another one of those 2.1 60ft's its very capable of a low 9.4.

Times seen kind of slow and the trap seems low...3800rpm, damn. I launch from like 2400 or so, a smidge of slip then I am off. Granted that was almost out of necessity on my craptastic Goodyear RS-As..but those numbers are way off what my stock '02 6speed did..

Weather does play a good part in mph and et's. i hope to be seeing slightly better times when it cools down to about 50-60 degrees out here. still too humid.

yea that night was really humid. my best run was 9.5@75.5mph and when i did the weather correction is came out to 9.2@78mph. i believe it was like 80% humidity that night. it was definitely a fun night though! a bunch of us are heading to the 1/4 mile this friday so hopefully u make it...

i just looked up the weather conditions for that day, pretty horrible. so i'd say to trap 76+ in the 1/8 you're doing pretty well. probably means a 95-96mph trap if you had been at a 1/4 mile track that day, and if you were there on a good day you'd probably see another 2-3mph.

yea i like to think it wasnt too bad at all considering the weather conditions.

thats interesting, never been suggested that before. i might play around and put the VIAS back on, check it out and see if there are any noticable diffrences. only takes 5 min

What tire pressure were you running on your max at the track?? my GFs 5.5gen auto runs almost identical times to yours on the 1/8. she ran 9.62 and on the 1/4 was 14.86 on heavy *** 18x8 front and 18x10 MB wheels in the back. 245/40/18 and 245/45/18 rears..
