13's with stock exhaust?

So I finally added OBX headers. Got my times down from 14.5 to so far a PB of 14.096 @ 99.65 mph. All I have is the headers and a test pipe. My best 60 foot is 2.201 on street tires. I am thinking if I add an exhaust I shall hit my goal of 13.9 @ 100. Just wondering who has ran a 13 sec pass with stock exhaust and no tune..??

No intake, VIAS BOP, timing advance, or spacers? Just headers and test pipe?

I know there are some here that have run 14.0's 100% stock.

I do have a timing advance and Injen CAI which I switched to a short ram... I want exhaust, BOP and spacers..

But like I said 14.5 was best I got stock..

I am also in Florida where it is always hot..

Do the VIAS BOP and spacers. You'll pickup a good 20HP+. I did the BOP, GAB, and spacers and went from 14.9@92 to 14.4@95 in my automatic. You should gain even more since you're MT and have headers.

Get a 2.1 60ft, which is easily attainable on street tires, and you'll be very close.
Are you powershifting the car?

Unbolt the main cat and run with an open y-pipe, sound like a$$ but should do the trick.

Care to name 2 5.5's that did this??? Just asking...........

Anyways somebody said it earlier, take the seats out, but eh, why not just add the exhaust and get like a 101 trap? You are gonna get it anyways...

Thread should state stock cat-bact, not exhaust.

There are a few people on here that have done 13's with stock cat-back.

SR20DEN
6spd_Hayes
PlanoSER

There's also 1 feller that I know of that ran a 13.0x stock, but he really wasn't totally stock since he had lightweight SSR's, but no actual engine mods.

A 13.0x stock with just different wheels? Probably removed weight from the car too...Still that's amazing.

I think I have reached my limits. And now I believe my MAF is acting up..

Went 14.01 @ 99.77 bone stock engine, stock suspension, Goodyear all-seasons...down to the paper panel air filter. I have a partial GAB now, but have not been back to the track..should easily pull a 13.9x with the car as it is, now that I have some better tires up front..

Was that a 2.1 60'? Your time is great for a bone stock car. I'd like to see you hit 13's with as minimal changes as possible just to see what the possibilities are.

Yeah, 2.14 60 ft. I only made one pass that night..but luckily I made it count! There were a couple other .org members there and they were jokingly not happy to see my time/trap since they have modded 5.5 gens and I was faster, lol.

I would love to get back and see if I could make a 13's pass with the car as-is (I am sure I could) but the local track is closed until someone buys it. That said, I have no intention of doing anything to the car, so when it opens again I will go back. 13's are possible in stock form..I have no doubt.

I can believe under the perfect track conditions, perfect driving, and the perfect setup of a base model 6 speed, etc.

Mine's a GXE. Doesn't even have the spoiler. Its as base as it can be. Really wanted one with more options but it was too good of a deal at the time to pass up. If mine was a 6 speed it would be the perfect model to try for 13's stock.

Anyone wanna let me borrow their car? lol

Come on down to Florida.. I am so close I can taste it. Luckily I still have plenty of mods to do, spacers, BOP, exhaust and a tune. But with all that I would want to be closer to 13.5/13.6..

Nice im hoping to do similar with my 6 gen. Except i will have a y pipe instead of spacers. Not too many 6 gens running fast. Especially over at my6gen.org. How heavier is the 6 gen over 5.5. 250?

It depends on the year and the equipment package but they are at the very least, 200+ lbs or more

I think you are not the only one . I think if I had taken the spare and jack out I would have been in the 13's.

I agree..the DA was not optimal on my pass..though it was not terrible. All that I did was fold my mirrors in, lol.

if only Gateway would get a worthwhile owner and open back up, I'm really wanting to run my car after the header install. Hell, maybe you should drive
