i'll post up some slips when i get home lol ...

not much of a track person... im a roll racer ...im really not the greatest launcher of the car

i ran a 12.9 at a 113mph with a horrible 2.1 60 ft lol ...
sprayed very late too
and second run i got a 2.3 60 ft (I got hard on it in first this time ) and ran a 13.1 at 102 because i coasted in 4th gear down the track lol

melted a plug

i'll post up the slips when i get home

im not too worried about the ET cause i rarely go to the track lol ... im proud of my MPH for spraying late into second if i sprayed in first im sure i could've probably gotten a 116 and plus the bottle pressure had already dropped from waiting in the staging lines

and also planning on upping the shot to atleast a 150 until 3rd and 200 in 4th gear and a tune (This car has NEVER been tuned)
like i said .. i run the streets lol not the track
kill list :
supra
Stage 3 srt4's
Big turbo STI
2012 ford shelby gt500 (he got me by 2 cars on a 75 shot and when i asked for a rematch on a 125 he just flat out said you'll beat me no point lol !)
ls2 vette's
ls3 vette's

i called out a c5 z06 and he refused to run me LOL (infront of alot of people LOL he got bashed)

a little shout out to LEVEL10

you guys did an awesome job on my tranny !

@krazy yea ima be shaving my brakes too lol ...

Time for race fuel at that shot level... and traction on the street will be a real problem, even with DRs. A progressive controller connected like mine would let you tune the power for first gear separately from the higher gears, and you don't have to swap jets ever again. - but you know that.... Nothing like a build transmission, is there?

This is exciting - a raw-meat-eating Maxima on spray!

my car doesn't spin on the street in second gear .. in first it does tho

im on 275/40/17 nitto 555r's on 17x9 Cobra R wheels

Shaving won't be enough to run 15s. You need a 15 wheel to get a slick on there. 16 and up just have DOT tires. If you can fit a 15" wheel with just grinding, let me know, I'd be interested in those wheels.

Bottle pressure - you would think, the higher the better, but N2O is funny stuff. As you spray, the bottle pressure drops off quickly from 1050psi (which is the highest you should ever go) downward until you're done. At 92*F or 1050psi, nitrous is no longer a liquid, but more of a gas/liquid combo, less dense than lower temps and pressure. According to the N2O bible, Nitrous Oxide Performance Handbook , the best pressure is at 950psi because it drops the least pressure as you spray. I read up on this over the winter, and sure enough, 950 might drop to 900 after a 1/4 mile pass. I heat my bottles (two are better than one) with a 115volt Moroso pad (generator) in the pits to 950psi then wrap with an insulating jacket so pressure doesn't drop much in an hour, and I don't drain the battery with 12 volt pads. Anyway, don't go lean - melted plugs are a clue that melted exhaust valves are next. Race gas can save parts....

Your tires must be great on the street - my BFG 255s break loose at anything over a 100-shot on the street - and usually a 75-shot is on the edge of traction. Spraying 175-shot on the highway in third gear is... stupid.. for me to try twice. I'll check out the Nittos again.

You would LOVE the NX Maximizer 3 controller. Jet yourself up to 250-shot and program how much you want to spray and how it ramps up in the gears. I've just had a little experience with it before the differential blew, but it sure beats playing with jets - I have a bucket of NX jets that I no longer need.

Good luck with your monster - and watch those plugs and have a bigger fuel pump installed. The nitrous "bible" is available from Amazon if you feel the urge. You read one paragraph and you gotta stop and think about it. It's a great book for nitrous junkies...

EDIT: M/T does have a 26x10.5x16" ET Drag street tire... for a 7" - 9" wheel... Hmmmm...

well i haven't had the tires long and i think my coilovers/ aluminum mounts / traction rods and the 17 inch 275's might be a good combo ? idk ...

the car puts power down in second gear quite nicely

my first time i sprayed in second gear on a 125 shot it threw everyone back .. dead on

i popped away on a GT500 (550hp v8) ... ls2/ls3 vette's ... c63 amg (507hp SC v8)

all of em in second gear a big turbo sti that runs like low 12's brake boosted and i didn't give him any ground from a 40 roll

and yes i will look into that nitros bibble lol

and also yea i thought i saw some 16" mt et drags

Unfortunately not.

They make a bias play et street. That's what I ran. Not that great of a tire.

You need to try to fit a 15" wheel, then you have slick sizing options galore.

I have some 5.5 gen rotors and calipers I could sell you if you want. I got them so I could run 15s, but I'm just gonna take it easy on the maxima for awhile.

Got a bike to have some fun on.

Very nice runs. These VQs eat up spray. Maybe this will motivate some of thw locals to up their 100 shots just a tad.

Idk why people don't wanna pass the 100 mark lol

If its a 5 speed MT go for it ...
the 6th gen auto's i understand the tranny starts slipping after a 75 shot ( i toor my tanny up QUICK lol) ... but all the 4th gen / 5 gen's should have no problem wth a 125-150 on a good tune and decent mile motor

The 4AT transmission doesn't handle large shots well - my next-to-last last one (2001 Infinifi VLSD) lasted two passes with a 175-shot and died at the end of the track. Had to winch it on the trailer... I've replaced more than I can remember, and several 3.0s and one 3.5 engine as well. You gotta respect the nitrous with anything over 100-shot.

The race-built IPT 4th gen 4AT transmission works very well, but I just popped the VLSD differential, at about 100-shot on the highways, so I dunno..... but "if you ain't breakin' sumthin, you ain't racin" ...

Your transmission sounded very good in the video - on the one time I got the IPT setup on the track with a 75-shot with direct-port, the slicks squealed at every shift. Fun...

That's a great trap speed. With a set of slicks and a 1.7 60' you could be in the low 12s no problem
