My 03 4AT 1/8 mile
#1
So last night was the Discount Tire employee race day at Northstar Drag Strip which is a local 1/8 mile and my friend invited me to go, and all of his coworkers hate me now because I destroyed their buddies built civic... But anyways
It was between 92-96 degrees and fairly humid when we started racing around 8:30. The Infinity Club was there which was pretty cool and all the G coupes were running 9.8-10.0's so I guessed I would be a little slower than that.
My mods are a custom 3" catback no resonator, an SRI, 350z 18's, and lowered on Megan springs so nothing to crazy. First time I get up there against a newer stage 1 GTI and run a 9.9 and won on a bad launch. As the night slowly progressed I worked my times down beating a modded s2k 6Mt with a 9.7.
Finally, the last race of the night I got lined up with a heavily modified early 70's Camaro z28 that I watched burn out right infront of me and was pissed because I wanted to just race someone that wouldn't blow me out of the water. We lined up, my reaction time was a .16 and I ran a 9.52 beating him and the ignorant announcer said "Oh my God! The Altima won!"
So moral of the story... Is a 9.5 good?

Gut your precats if you can't afford headers...should be consistent 9.3 just by doing that.
9.5 is pretty good though for the heat/humidity, what was your trap speed?
Nish - He went to the Denton 1/8th mile track

Well. The timeslip printer was broken so all you have is my word.
Same mods as before. Passenger seat, rear seats, trunk all removed. Rear tires at max PSI(50) and fronts deflated to 32 PSI. 65 degrees outside, hardly humid at all. Best run of the night was a 9.34 spinning halfway through first so I know I could have done better.
Im very happy with that considering my mods are minimal.

9.3 is good for just intake and exhaust. You should grab the spacers, NWP block off plate and 2* timing advance.
I had all of the above but stock exhaust and best I ran was a 14.4@98 and 9.3@77 in the 1/8.
