87 maxima rear strut replacement

Thanks for the replies so far ,i have a factory service manual,a haynes and spring compressers, both manuals cover the rebuild of the original struts but seem a little hazy about the details.when you remove the old strut internals does the new cartridge just drop right in and then you put the whole assembly back in and align it?do you have to dismount the entire wheel hub assembly or can you do it an easier and faster way?a little more technical info would be appreciated.thanks, jim
