Go to the 2nd Generation Nissan Maxima Club in my sig, there you'll find tons of links to companies that support our cars, over 150 members to help you out, and photos of a lot of 2nd gens to help you get some ideas.
As for the exhaust, the only company that makes a performance exhaust is Pacesetter. It's a cat-back system and it works really well, I have it on my car. You get a bit more performance and a really nice growl.
As for the suspension, you can get lowering springs from Eibach, Intrax, and Suspension Techniques. If you are going to lower it, you'll probably want to replace your struts as well. The only company that makes performance struts is KYB. I have the KYB GR2s on my car and they work great. The ride is firm but not too harsh. It handles the bends pretty well for a 3200 lb. car. I haven't lowered it and I'm not planning on it, as I use this car as a daily driver.
