Don't forget the last year. 1984-89 is the production of the Z31. The new DOHC engine came out for the Z32 in 1990+

The ultra square 300ZX was 1984-85.

1986 used the same body, but added some factory air dam, side skirt, and body colored bumpers for a more modern look.

1987-89 was changed to a more smooth look, although it still has the same frame and interrior.

1990-96 is the major redesign and had the very rouneded look.
