Info for members of the Yahoo 2nd gen club

I thought I'd post this information over here in addition to the club in case some of you don't check the club too often.

This notice pertains to those of you who signed up with an account at the Second Generation Nissan Maxima Club on Yahoo.

Some of you will not be able to post messages unless this problem is rectified. The problem with some of your accounts is that you are considered to be 'Bouncing'. What that basically means is that the e-mail account you used to sign up with Yahoo is invalid. In order to rectify the situation, you're going to have to change your e-mail address in your Yahoo profile and also change it inside the club by clicking on 'Edit My Membership'. If you have any questions, you can e-mail me at secondgenerationnissanmaxima-owner@yahoogroups.com contact me through one of the messengers I've got, or reply to this thread.

Accounts that have been bouncing more than six months will be deleted in two weeks if they aren't updated.

The following 44 members are bouncing:

Hey partner, I shouldn't be bouncing, I get e-mails from the club every time someone post there. Clogs up my in-box and stuff.

Double check that the email address that you use in the club is also the same one in your profile. Sign in to groups.yahoo.com and click on the 'Account Info' link. Under the 'Member Information' section, you can change and add your e-mail accounts. Also, make sure the e-mail account you use is selected as the 'Primary' one.

According to the club, you're using the Yahoo e-mail address. It says that the e-mail account has been deactivated. So I don't know how you're receiving the messages for the club, either you have another account at the club or you're getting messages from some other club or it's forwarding them some how.

Also, while you may be able to receive messages from the club, you won't be able to post anything using that account while you're bouncing.

I sent a reactivation request to your account, so if you get it you should be able to get your account off of bouncing status. It's going to send the request to your Yahoo email address.

Also, I'll leave your account on the system so we can get this sh*t sorted out. I'd suggest changing both the account in your Yahoo profile as well as the one in the club to the account you regularly use for your e-mail, not the default Yahoo one. And I wouldn't forward any of the messages either, that could cause some problems, especially if you never physically go and check that account periodically.

One more thing, you can disable the receving of e-mail from the club by clicking on 'Edit My Membership'. That way, you can check the messages at the club instead of having your inbox getting filled up. That's how I check the messages at the club, otherwise my computer would constantly be saying "You've Got Mail!"
