most likely a computer problem. (That, or corroded wiring somewhere) The mechanic said that he was getting an error message #52 on the ECM and that it didn't correspond with any codes that he was aware of.
Have any of you guys had an error #52 on your ECM, and if so what does it mean? Do I need a new computer? Will it cost more than the $1500.00 that I paid for the car? Should I have bought that 89 Corolla instead of this 88 Maxima??
The mechanic also suggested that I try to find an ECM from a salvage yard or online somewhere, and try that before I take it to an electrical specialist.
