Because of problems lately with the new server, they turned off search. That's why it isn't working.

Well actually its changed abit. You are able to search its working sometimes it doesnt. But as a Perk, to donating you get to use the search funtion as well as hopefully next year help get maxima.org a better server supporter and you get access to the off topic forum.

The search function is what was slowing down our servers before the change so Kev gave it as a Perk when you donate. Since the change weve been having mad issues so before Kev gives it to everyone again one day its as a perk for now. It may change to go back to everyone to use.

understand

I completely understand the Perk method and have no problems with it. The web site where I moderate also has a perk system.

They may want to remove the need for a donation "Perk" to search the Classifieds area because that reduces the "services" available to sellers who have "donated" as in .... if you cant find a "perky seller" with a widgett for a Max via search.....then you wont know he has it for sale... and he will be less likely to sell it.

IMHO the Classifieds area actually helps drive membership in BB's like this so u want to really have a good FREE service there.

For me..... well I'm not that big of a Max fan to donate. I just got one that needs work. I'll have a manuel soon and that will help tremendously.. guess I'll search for parts etc. else where.
