Need a driveshaft and radiator cooling fan

I need a driveshaft and radiator cooling fan for my 1982 Maxima diesel sedan. I have tried my local junkyards and 2 can get me both. I can get both from the first yard for $235 and also at a second yard for $185. I bought the car for $250 and I don't want to go buying those two parts for that much money. Almost as much as the car! If anybody can help me out with the two parts and with a good price, then just let me know. I appreciate anybody's help. Thanks.

Well, those places are your best bet for either of those. It would probably cost more for new ones. That's the down side to buying a $250 car, is its not worth it to buy any parts for it at all. :P Hell a headlight is almost not worth it! :P

I got a radiator fan, but still am looking for a cheap driveshaft. Anybody else know of any local junkyards around them that may have some 1st generation Maximas with a driveshaft? I don't mind buying a driveshaft from someone a few states away. I live in Pennsylvania and appreciate any help. Thanks.

Try doing a search at www.car-part.com

They'll do a nation wide search...

I already tried car-part.com and some of the results were old inventory for some of the junkyards and they didn't even have the part anymore.

I also live in PA, near Pittsburgh. There's a junkyard out here that specializes in foreign car parts, I've already gotten some stuff for my 2nd gen from there. I'm not sure if they have any 1st gen stuff, but it may be worth a shot.

The junkyard is called Maroney's Foreign Car Parts. Their website is at http://www.maroneysforeigncars.com The phone number is 1-800-245-7278. You may want contact them and see if they can help you out.
