I was drivin around today and there was this black probe gt mid 90s with tinted windows and a dtm style fart can on it. well he was bein a *** so i decided to try and see how the old max would handle. Well i was at a light turning left i kept it in first until i was fully turned on to the street and punched it and he didn't gain **** on me, he was actually fallin back!! i knew he was puttin his *** into it because i heard it hittin 6 grand and up. he didn't even gain anything til i slowed down to avoid slamming into the back of a car pulling out that he about hit it, Ha! but then as i passed him later on he just radlines it and bounces it off the rev limiter thinkin hes the ****. but hey 1987 brown automatic maxima 4 door sedan pullin away from him so.... but hey i had my friend with me and two huge 15s in the trunk in a huge *** box, so im not actually lightened up either! Thought the max fanatics would like to hear my little story!

Did you see a GT sign on it? Because if you did that's a 2.5L v6 I think that's 160hp and 3000lb. If it's a base or an SE it's a I4 2L with 118hp, and weighs about 2700lb.

 

Hmm, the probe V6's aren't bad cars.....I just wouldn't drive one. :P

 

yes it was a gt because my friends and i have an inside joke about gt cars and that yes it was that body style.

 

I doubt he was trying his best, stock for stock, a 165hp Probe GT with the KL-03 v6 should whoop an 87 Max, but ya never know. Maybe he was just a horrible driver, either way, good kill.

 

well ive got the basic mods like opened intake, exhaust and timing and stuff, but i just think i hit my power band just right, because it actually threw me back.

 

that year manual probe 93+ will outrun a 2nd gen maxima with equal mods or stock for stock.
